World Exhibition to help improve Kazakhstan's image as dynamically developing state
ASTANA. March 12. KAZINFORM Kazakh Majilis Speaker N. Nigmatullin met the head of the International Exhibition Bureau (IEB) Expert Committee Stan Christensen in Astana, the Majilis' press service informs.
The key topic was holding of Astana EXPO -2017.
The Chairman of the Majilis emphasized that under the leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev Kazakhstan succeeded in all spheres of life and has great experience of holding world level activities. Thus Kazakh President N. Nazarbayev's idea of holding EXPO-2017 became the national idea for all Kazakh people.
N. Nigmatullin expressed confidence that the world exhibition in the capital of Kazakhstan with the participation of at least 120 countries and international organizations will not only improve the image of Kazakhstan as a dynamically developing country, but also bring practical benefits to other countries.
According to him, the Majilis supports this project and is always ready to cooperate.
In turn, members of the Expert Committee of the IEB were interested in the participation of parliamentarians in the work to promote the candidacy of Astana to hold EXPO-2017, as well as involvement of all Kazakh people in the preparations.
