World champion in sambo hung himself on the black belt

The tragedy occurred on Saturday, June 8, in Sumgait, the local media reports. The athlete hanged himself on the black belt conquered on the sports arena.

According to preliminary data, before a suicide Radjabli sent his wife to the nearest store to buy bread. In her absence, he took his own life. When his wife returned, he had already been dead.

A criminal case under article 125 (incitement to suicide) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan has been opened, there are investigation activities. The prosecutors noted that the preliminary version of the cause of suicide was depression.

Ahad Radjabli, born in 1962, started judo at the age of 12, he was a brother of the founder of judo school in Azerbaijan Ahmed Radjabli.
