Women's Economic Symposium steering group met in Almaty
ALMATY. June 18. KAZINFORM Early June in Almaty, the U.S. Embassy organized a Steering Group Orientation Meeting for the U.S. State Department's Central Asia and Afghanistan's Women's Economic Symposium that will take place in Bishkek on July 18-20, 2011.
Fifteen women leaders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan will take part in the Symposium. The participants will share common challenges and successful strategies in three main areas: Economic Success through Entrepreneurship and Trade, Education for Opportunity and Leadership, and Achieving Progress through Participation in Governance. DCM Elisabeth Millard opened the Steering Group Orientation Meeting, the press service of the United States Diplomatic Mission to Kazakhstan said.
