Woman smothered baby while sleeping in Karaganda rgn

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - A 24-year-old woman allegedly smothered her baby to death while they were sleeping at night, the prosecutor's office of Shakhtinsk town reported.
The accident occurred on 29 November. A resident of Karaganda with her child, who was not even a month old, came to the town of Shakhtinsk to visit her relatives. The mother fell asleep on top of her baby while breast-feeding at night. As a result the baby has died from shortness of breath. Karaganda regional police have initiated a criminal case under the Article 101 of the Criminal Code "Causing death by negligence".
