Woman killed in Shymkent by bus racing for passengers

According to eyewitnesses, a passenger bus number 84 was standing at "Verhniy Otrar" bus stop when another bus number 19 hit it; however, the second bus was hit by another bus number 93. Shymkent bus drivers regularly race each other for passengers. As a result of the crash a young woman has died on the spot under the wheels of the third bus. Another woman was hospitalized with severe injuries.

"The drivers were racing for passengers. Moreover, it disgusts me that the driver of the bus #93, seeing what he had done, just left the scene. Other drivers, who also suffered, rushed to help the victim but she was already dead," said a witness.

The exact causes of the accident will be established by traffic police. The investigation is underway.
