Woman, 8-year-old daughter stuck by car in Kostanay rgn

KOSTANAY. January 11. KAZINFORM A 42-year-old woman with her 8-year-old daughter were hit by a car on 10 January in the town of Rudny, Kostanay region.
Preliminary reports said the 42-year-old suffered minor injuries, and the girl sustained brain concussion and closed fracture of the right hip. They were taken to a local hospital.
The operator of the vehicle said he couldn't stop the car because of ice slick and that the woman and her daughter were jaywalking.
The investigation is ongoing.
