Winemaking needs state support – Minister Z. Aitzhanova
ASTANA. July 29. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeev/ The Ministry of Economic and Trade of Kazakhstan offered the Kazakh Government to include winemaking into prior sectors of the economy within the Business Road Map-2020 Program, the Head of the Ministry Zhanar Aitzhanova made it public at the sitting of the Single Coordinating Council on entrepreneurship in the Government of Kazakhstan.
Z. Aitzhanova emphasized that winemaking needed support from the state.
'The entrepreneurs often discussed the issues of including winemaking into prior economy sectors within the Business Road Map-2020 Program to support agricultural producers but only those who produce wine from the grapes of domestic producers. Whereby narrowing the sphere of application', Z. Aitzhanova said.
As the Minister noted the winemaking was excluded from the Program due to belonging to the category of excisable products - wine production is subject to excisable tax.
