Wind turbines to be built in Pavlodar region
PAVLODAR. February 20. KAZINFORM Construction project of the wind electric generating stations in rural areas around Ekibastuz was reviewed at a session chaired by governor of Pavlodar region Yerlan Aryn on Wednesday (February 20).
25-MW wind power generators are expected to be commissioned by the end of 2014, the launch of the second line is scheduled for next year. The total capacity of the wind turbines is to be raised up to 50 MW, according to head of the energy and housing and utilities infrastructure department Sain Kamenov.
The wind power stations will be erected 204km away from the regional center, not far from the boundaries of Pavlodar and Akmola regions.
The project worth 15 billion tenge is financed by a local company with the help of several investors.
