The 24-year-old achieved the feat - known as a golden set - in moving one set up in her third-round match against the French Open runner-up, Sara Errani, on Court Three.

She held serve three times and broke Errani each time to take 24 consecutive points, hitting 14 winners and four aces along the way. The set was wrapped up in 15 minutes, the Guardian reports.

Shvedova went on to win the match 6-0, 6-4. Her feat had occurred only once previously at tour level.
