ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's Mikhail Kukushkin has advanced to the second round of the German Open Tennis Championship in Hamburg, Germany, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz web portal.
In the first-round match, the 26-year-old Kukushkin easily outplayed Marsel Ilhan of Turkey in straight sets 6:2, 6:2. The Kazakhstan-based tennis player needed only 59min to send his opponent packing. In the second round Kukushkin will face top-seed of the tournament David Ferrer of Spain.
