Welding works accomplished at first line of “Kazakhstan – China” gas pipeline
ATY. July 10. KAZINFORM /Serik Koibagarov/ Official ceremony of accomplishment of the welding works at the first line of "Kazakhstan - China" gas pipe line has been held today in Almaty region.
President of "KazMunaiGaz" National Company Kairgeldy Kabyldin, Deputy Governor of Almaty region Amandyk Batalov, CNPC Vice President Wang Dongjin, leadership and personnel of the companies, implementing the project took part in the ceremony.
The main purpose of the project is to provide transit of natural gas of Turkmenistan to China through the territory of Kazakhstan and transit of natural gas from the oil-and-gas fields of the western regions of the country to China and Kyzylorda, South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Almaty regions and Almaty. This is one of the largest international projects in Kazakhstan, realized by "Asiatskiy gazoprovod" LTD.
"Kazakhstan-China" gas pipeline provides installation of seven compressor stations. First five of them are scheduled t be built in the period of 2009-2012.
