The Government is taking measures to stabilize the price of bread and support the Great Patriotic War veterans. Monday, September 29, Chairman of the Committee of the state inspection in agriculture, Saktash Khasenov said that Kazakhstan plans to export grain to South Korea, via China. He also mentioned that over three years grain supplies to China have increased. Tuesday, September 30, "NC" Food Corporation" JSC announced the extension of the memoranda on measures to stabilize the price of bread until the end of October 2014. Memoranda were signed between the Ministry of Agriculture, regional Akimats and "Food Corporation". In order to stabilize the price of bread the company has reserved 518 thousand tons of grain. Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Muhamediuly participated in the forum of national and cultural centers of the CICA "Culture of peace, harmony and spirituality in the CICA." Wednesday, October 1, the Vice-Minister for Investment and Development, Albert Rau at a briefing in Astana said that during the first five-year plan of SPIIAD more than 1 billion euros have been invested in engineering. The same day, Vice-Minister of Health and Social Development Svetlana Zhakupova reported that Kazakhstan will allocate more than KZT 5 billion to support veterans on the eve of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Thursday, October 2, Ministry of National Economy reported that 9.5 thousand apartments will be built in 2015 under the state program "Affordable Housing 2020". 8,000 apartments have being put into operation in 2014 at the expense of the national budget. Friday, October 3, Vice-Minister of National Economy Kaiyrbek Uskenbayev said that it is planned to subsidize up to 80 percent of the work on water supply to pastures. According to him, 78 percent of currently unused land belongs to pastures. More than 70 percent of the land is not used due to lack of water supply.
