Weather alert issued in Almaty region

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Avalanches are expected in mountains of Almaty region in the period from April 30 through May 3 due to heavy precipitations and unstable state of the snowpack, the committee for emergency situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan informs.
"People should avoid snow-covered slopes because of high avalanche possibility," the weather alert reads.
