We've got good harvest despite bad weather - Kazakh Prime Minister

ASTANA. October 16. KAZINFORM "Despite difficult weather conditions this year we've got a good harvest. I think that after processing about 13 million tons of marketable grain with the carryover we will maintain last year's growth of exports," Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov told the government's sitting on Tuesday.

The head of the Government urged local authorities "to perform the tasks of purchasing grain for state resources and to ensure safety of the harvested crop. In addition, it is necessary to start sale both in the domestic and export markets."

Head of the Cabinet instructed the akims (governors) to keep under control matters on proper use of grain.

"It is also necessary to have control over the stability of prices for flour of first grade and community grain. This is the direct duty and responsibility of the regions. All institutions, the Ministry of Agriculture will assist in this," the Prime Minister concluded.
