We thank Kazakhstan for kindness to our countrymen - Ex -PM of Korea
SEOUL. September 5. KAZINFORM Ex-Prime Minister of South Korea, former Ambassador of Korea to the United States Lee Hong - Koo thanked Kazakhstan for kindness to his countrymen in response to a question of Kazinform correspondent, during a press conference with foreign journalists at the opening of the World Conservation Congress.
"I would like to note that Kazakhstan is one of the countries where a large number of our fellow citizens, ethnic Koreans, who in the Soviet times moved to Central Asia. I am particularly grateful for the hospitality of this country to our compatriots," Lee Hong-Koo said.
Currently, Lee Hong-Koo is Chairman of the Korean Organizing Committee of the World Conservation Congress 2012, which will be held at the South Korean island Jeju from September 6 till September 15.
