We satisfied with communication with our Kazakh colleagues: British teachers

We discussed our professional issues during the visit", the head of the British delegation of teachers, representative of the department of education of Leicestershire district said Friday at the press conference in Almaty.

According to director of the British Council Lena Milosevic, this is the third visit of the British teachers to Kazakhstan organized with the support of the Kazakh Ministry of Education. The main purpose of the visit is acquaintance and experience exchange, discussion of the transition from primary to secondary school.

Deputy Head of the educational department of Almaty Zharas Sandybayev said that 520 educational institutions work in Almaty where over 300 thousand students receive education and about 22 thousand teachers work. Beginning from 2004-2005 an experimental program on early studding of English language starting from the second grad is held at the secondary schools. The program is based on "Starters" international program. "The number of such schools reached 62 his year. The results of analysis show that younger children learn foreign language faster and more effectively", Z.Sandybayeva said.

Within the five-day visit the British teachers visited secondary schools № 148, 161, 79, 12, 105, Humanitarian-Pedagogical Colleges № 1 and 2, College of management and construction, "Gal-LTD-Asset-E" educational center.
