We need effective migration policy - Nazarbayev

ASTANA. March 13. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ "Kazakhstan needs effective migration policy", President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the meeting with the akims of the regions in Akorda today.
According to the President, northern regions of the country, in particular, North Kazakhstan and Kostanay oblasts observe depopulation while southern regions are over-populated at present. Moreover, the number of people moving there increases.
"Therefore the issues with the repatriates must be solved properly, especially those regarding their accommodation. 50% of the repatriates are living today in over-populated areas", N. Nazarbayev noted.
