We must implement President's policy on social support of population suffered from nuclear tests - Majilis Vice Speaker Z. Karibzhanov
ASTANA. April 19. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Deputies of the Majilis must improve the country's legislation on social support of the people suffered from nuclear tests. Vice Speaker of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament Zhanybek Karibzhanov said summing up the results of the roundtable entitled Kazakhstan - the country of peace held in the Lower House today.
"We, deputies of the Majilis, must implement the policy of our President. For this we must improve the corresponding bills which are directed on enhancement of social support of the people suffered from nuclear tests. We must also direct our efforts on protection of environment", Katibzhanov noted.
As the Vice Speaker pointed out, local citizens still fell the impact of the tests at the former Semipalatinsk polygon.
