ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The situation in the world continues to hold many countries in suspense. We must be ready for the fact that in the medium term economic growth will be significantly weakened.
This has been stated by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, speaking at a panel meeting of the II World Anti-Crisis Conference and VII Astana Economic Forum. "In the period of 2000-2007, the world economy grew at an average rate of 4 %, while in the coming years the growth will drop to 2.5%. The world has barely survived the worst economic crisis and soon it may plunge into recession and downturn again", said the Head of State.
