We can provide export credit guarantee if Kazakhstan fulfills agreements on banks' restructuring - Merkel
ASTANA. July 18. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Germany will be able to provide guarantees for export credits, provided that all agreements on restructuring of Kazakh banks are fulfilled. Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel has said it at the Kazakh-German business forum in Astana today.
"Some Kazakh banks had difficulties. German creditors should have assumed the financial burden in overcoming these difficulties. Now it is important that all agreements on restructuring of Kazakh banks are fulfilled. We should feel support from the Kazakh side", A. Merkel noted.
According to her, Germany will be able to provide guarantees for export credits, which are needed for trade development between Kazakhstan and Germany. The Chancellor emphasized that Germany was interested in further promotion of economic cooperation with Kazakhstan.
