WB to lend USD 20 mln to Kazakhstan for improvement of national statistics system

ASTANA. May 24. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The World Bank will provide USD 20 mln loan for development of Kazakhstan's statistics system, Chairman of the Statistics Agency Alikhan Smailov said at the Government's Hour in the Majilis today.
"Within cooperation with the World Bank we have set to development of a new project on improvement of our national statistics system", A. Smailov noted.
According to him, the project provides for allocation of a special investment loan to the amount of USD 20 mln for the term of five years. The aim of the project is raising efficiency of work of the national statistics system of Kazakhstan on provision of the country's state bodies, business circles and population with timely and accurate data.
