LONDON. April 7. KAZINFORM Wayne Rooney will miss the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City after having a two-match ban upheld; Kazinform refers to BBC News.
The Manchester United striker was charged with using offensive language after he swore into a TV camera as he celebrated completing a hat-trick against West Ham.
Rooney accepted the charge but argued that the automatic two-match ban incurred was "clearly excessive".
He will also miss Saturday's Premier League match against Fulham; Kazinform cites BBC News.
