Washington Post: Kazakhstan - building up nuclear weapons free world
ASTANA. April 15. KAZINFORM "Being a country that voluntarily renounced the world's fourth biggest nuclear arsenal and closed the Semipalatinsk Polygon Kazakhstan constantly appeals on the other states to further steps on the way of building a nuclear weapons free world", the Washington Post newspaper cites the speech of President N.Nazarbayev at the Global Summit.
The newspaper writes that the Kazakh Leader welcomes the U.S.-Russian new START Treaty signed by the presidents of the two states in Prague. According to N.Nazarbayev, this step of the two biggest nuclear states shows a strong political will to reduce their arsenals and strengthen the global nuclear security. This gives hope that nuclear-free future of the mankind is possible and approachable.
