Wanted Kazakh drug dealer detained in Bishkek airport

BISHKEK. KAZINFORM - Kyrgyz Interior Ministry officers have detained a citizen of Kazakhstan who was on the international wanted list through Interpol.

According to the press service of Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Internal Affairs, police investigators have detained the man, who was suspected of illegal possession, distribution and organization of Afghan drugs transit through Kazakhstan's neighboring states. It was found that the person was on the international wanted list through Interpol. As a result of search operations Yusif Guseynov Polad oglu, born in 1961, has been detained in Manas airport of Kyrgyzstan. The man was going to fly to Turkey with passport of the citizen of Azerbaijan in the name of H. Yousif. According to the criminal case, in April 2010 in the Kazakh city of Petropavlovsk National Security Committee officers uncovered a large shipment of Afghan hashish weighing 45 kg. Yusif Guseynov was one of the main organizers of the drug traffic. Unfortunately, he managed to escape. As it turned out he was hiding outside Kazakhstan, including in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
