Vincenzo Nibali joins Astana mayor for a bike ride

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 2014 Tour De France winner Vincenzo Nibali, Alexander Vinokurov, ProTeam Astana cyclists and Astana mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov have participated in a special bike ride in Astana city Sunday morning. The event was dated to the Constitution Day and the 100th anniversary of sport in Kazakhstan.
The 4,600-m long ride stretched from the Saltanat Saraiy Palace to the Astana Arena stadium. It brought together more than 2,200 people. "The ride has proved that Astana is a bike-friendly city. I am beyond happy to see so many young people here today," mayor Tasmagambetov said after the ride.
