VIII interregional cooperation forum kicks off in Astrakhan

The forum themed "Joint response to trans-border emergency situations" brings together governmental authorities, ministers, heads of departments and reps of cross-border regions of Kazakhstan and Russia.

Those attending are expected to debate prospects for joint response to trans-border emergencies, cooperation in sanitation and epidemiological disaster response in cross-border regions, liquidation of consequences of natural disasters, and emergency assistance programs.

A set of documents will be signed following the discussions.
