Vice Minister of Agriculture slams roads condition in Kazakh regions

Vice Minister of Agriculture Muslim Umiryayev said in the course of a press tour around the grain reception centers of the Akmola region Friday that his ministry had asked the Kazakh Government for extra combustive and lubricating materials in order to ensure smooth process of grain drying. Umiryayev also insisted it was just a precautionary measure.

In his words, the major problem is the bad road conditions in the regions of the country. "The majority of grain reception centers are located off-highway. And to realize how bad the roads in the regions are, local authorities should try them out," stressed the Vice Minister of Agriculture.
