VI International Investment and Finance Forum takes place in Tashkent
TASHKENT. April 26. KAZINFORM - Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent is hosting the VI International Investment and Finance Forum. According to the organizers, it is being attended by more than 600 executives of leading companies, experts and scholars from 40 countries, including Uzbekistan, USA, UK, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, China, South Korea, India, Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, Moldova , Ukraine, Romania, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan.
Representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan and government financial institutions during their speeches appreciated the favorable investment climate in the country. According to official statistics, last year, the growing volume of investments amounted to 22.9% of GDP, domestic and foreign investment was attracted by 11.7 billion U.S. dollars.
The forum participants also presented conditions for the development of production in the industrial and economic zones called "Navoi", "Angren" and "Jizzak."
