VI Astana Economic Forum to discuss Neo-Industrial model of Kazakhstan
ASTANA. May 20. KAZINFORM – On May 24, 2013 the Institute of Economics of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan (SCMES) in the framework of the upcoming VI Astana Economic Forum holds a panel session on "Neo-Industrial model of economic development and the creation of Promising innovation clusters".
The goal is to unify the representatives of state government, science, education and business to discuss and implement the recommendations addressing the most important current problems of industrial development and the formation of National innovation clusters.
In the face of global challenges of the 21st century the republic needs radical updating drivers and transition to a new stage of its development, which causes urgent requirement to diversify the national economy through implementation of new industrialization - technotronic, high-tech, digital. A key instrument for the implementation of the new industrial policy must be the cluster approach creating a synergistic effect by the relationship of business, science and the state and starts working the model of the "triple helix".
The purpose of the session will be discussion of effectiveness of implementing Neo-industrial model of economic development in Kazakhstan, the consideration of the International experience innovative development and competitiveness of the industry, identify problems and make recommendations to address them, as well as a presentation of the draft Concept formation of promising innovative clusters in Kazakhstan developed at the SCMES Economic Institute.
The speakers of the session will be PhD Martin O'Hara, the Vice-President of KIMEP University; Dmitry Sorokin, the deputy director of the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economic Sciences, the corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Hans Holzhacker, a foreign consultant, a member of Uni Credit Group, director of the Institute for Economics SCMES Economic Institute of Kazakhstan and many others.
At the end of the panel session there will be a resolution reflecting the recommendations of the experts on the perspective development of neo-industrial model on the basis of the international experience, the scenarios of the next phase of industrialization advanced technology directions development and signature of memoranda for cooperation and the establishment of the Association of Cluster development.
