Uzbekistan & Turkmenistan sign bilateral documents
TASHKENT. November 25. KAZINFORM - In the framework of the official visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the President of Turkmenistan, to Uzbekistan he has signed a package of bilateral documents.
President of Turkmenistan has arrived in Uzbekistan on a two-day official visit. In the residence "Kuksaroy" in the first half of the day the parties carried out talks and signed bilateral documents.
The parties have signed a program of cooperation between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in the cultural sphere for 2014-2016 as well as the agreement between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan on cooperation in the field of emergency prevention and mitigation.
The parties also signed the agreement on cooperation in the exchange of information between the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan and the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, the contract on partnership between the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange and the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan.
Uzbek President Islam Karimov and his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Joint statement. The document provides guidelines and directions of bilateral cooperation, highlights the high dynamics of development of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.
