Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discuss economic cooperation prospects
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, met with Umut Shayakhmetova, Chairperson of the Board of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan, to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation, UzA reports.


The Kazakh side highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s ongoing economic reforms and expressed readiness to participate in major investment projects actively. Discussions focused on attracting Kazakh investors to Uzbekistan and organizing a roundtable with Kazakh business representatives.
Umut Shayakhmetova emphasized Halyk Bank’s interest in mobilizing additional resources for investment projects in Uzbekistan. She also confirmed her participation in the Foreign Investors Council plenary session at the upcoming Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled for June this year.
Both sides expressed confidence in enhancing cooperation and implementing joint initiatives, strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
