Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan sign historic Eternal Friendship Treaty
Following the high-level talks, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed the historic Treaty on Eternal Friendship and the decision of the 3rd Meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, Qazinform News Agency cites UzA.
In the presence of the Heads of State, the sides signed agreements on cooperation in the spheres of culture and tourism, a program to increase bilateral trade to $1 billion by 2030, a Practical Action Plan for implementing the agreements on investment and trade, protocols for establishing sister-city relations between Urgench and Khankendi, Bukhara and Lachin, and Urgench and Nakhchivan.
It was earlier reported, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, was to pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on August 23-24 at the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
