Use of Romanian infrastructure - good opportunity for access to EU markets for Kazakhstan: Traian Basescu
ASTANA. March 2. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "Use of the Romanian infrastructure is a good opportunity for access to the markets of the European Union for Kazakhstan", Romanian President Traian Basescu has said today after the meeting with the Kazakh President.
"Romania understands the necessity of Kazakhstan of getting an opportunity of exporting to the European Union. This is a great market of 500 mln people. In this regard we are ready to cooperate with Kazakhstan in usage of the Romanian infrastructure - Port of Constanta, railways, land lines of communication, the Danube that passes through the territory of the EU and connects with the Black Sea. This is a really good opportunity for Kazakhstan to find access to the EU markets", Traian Basescu said.
The Head of Romania noted that our countries need to further develop bilateral interaction. "Romania can use energy resources of Kazakhstan, in particular, uranium for its Atomic Power Stations. Romania can be a good partner in development of the Kazakh industry as well', he said.
"Kazakhstan is the main trade partner of Romania in Central Asia", T.Basescu stressed.
