US military attache in Kazakhstan & Chief of Kazakh Land Forces discuss Central Asia security issues
ASTANA. October 21. KAZINFORM - Today in Astana Chief of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan Lieutenant-General Murat Maikeyev has met with the United Sstates military attaché in the Republic of Kazakhstan Colonel Andrew Berrierom, according to the Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting the parties discussed the current state and prospects of further cooperation between the armies of Kazakhstan and the United States in the sphere of military-technical cooperation and military education. Murat Maikeyev and Andrew Berrier also talked about regional security in Central Asia.
Murat Maikeyev also told Colonel Andrew Berrieru about the reforms which are being carried out in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in particular, the transition to a professional army.
