URGENT: Two men killed in shootout on Kyrgyzstan and China border
BISHKEK. January 23. KAZINFORM - On Thursday, in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan unidentified persons killed a huntsman, according to Department of Public Relations and Media of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.
On the territory of the Issyk-Kul border detachment shooting occurred between Kyrgyzstan border guards and a group of unidentified persons. Earlier the border guards received information about an armed group consisting of at least 10 people who had killed a hunstman and took his shotgun.
Arrived on the scene guards were fired by the violators. As a result the border detachment officers have shot two offenders. Later the criminals were troop rounded and locked in «Pikertyk» heating point. Military began negotiations.
In Bishkek, the Government held an emergency meeting where the heads of law enforcement agencies were ordered to disarm the offenders.
