URGENT: Murderer, robber and rapist jailed for life in Taraz

Within two years a 24-year-old Erjan Topashev, the only son of wealthy parents, seemingly well-mannered citizen of Zhambyl region, kept at bay Tole bi village residents. Some families urgently sold homes, property and left the village.

"The offender under the influence of alcohol became a beast and made assaults upon houses of lonely old people and children. Usually he tore the electric cable before the attack, then he broke into the house and severely beat the hosts. The offender was exposed in the murder of two elderly men, moreover, two women miraculously survived after his attacks, but remained disabled''.

Specialized Inter-district criminal court of the Zhambyl region found him guilty on 17 articles of the Criminal Code - murder, attempted murder, robbery, rape, theft, unlawful entry into premises, weapon employment, etc.

Forensic psychiatric examination found the defendant sane.

During the trial Topashev retracted his confession. However, his guilt has been proven by the identification of victims, the results of forensic, biological and molecular genetic examinations.

Due to the lack of remorse of the defendant the court found Topashev guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
