ATYRAU. February 21. KAZINFORM 13 new-born children died in January this year in Atyrau. According to the doctors, pneumonia is the leading cause of death in the newborns.
8,043 children were born in Atyrau in 2011, 78 of them died.13 out of 786 newborns died in January alone. The prosecutor's office carries out now an inspection of the causes affecting the increase in baby deaths.
