UNSC condemns DPRK violation of UN resolution

UNITED NATIONS. July 7. KAZINFORM. The members of the UN Security Council (UNSC) have condemned violation of the provisions of the UNSC resolution by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, President of the Council in July and Uganda's UN Ambassador, told journalists on Monday night after closed-door consultations; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

The Council had gathered for extraodinary closed-door consultaitons on Monday at Japan's request to discuss the launchings of medium- and short-range rockets by Pyongyang in the past days.

The President of the Council said the UNSC members emphasized once again that the DPRK must fully meet its obligations under the respective resolutions, including UNSC Resolutions 1,718 and 1,874.
