According to Kurbanov, Kazakhstan has made significant progress in developing volunteer activities and has become an example for other countries.

“Kazakhstan is the only country to have achieved such significant progress in volunteering. More than 60 countries supported Kazakhstan’s initiative to proclaim the Year of Volunteers. You are setting global trends, and a civic initiative such as Taza Qazaqstan has generated considerable interest among a number of countries,” Kurbanov said.

He noted that Kazakhstan’s experience in promoting volunteerism has attracted international attention, particularly because of the scale and impact of its public initiatives.

The meeting took place as part of Kazakhstan’s ongoing cooperation with the UN Volunteers programme and events marking the International Year of Volunteers.
