Ulaanbaatar closely examines Kazakhstan’s development experience, says Mongolian PM

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, Akorda reports.

During the meeting, the Kazakh leader highlighted that the Kazakh and Mongolian governments are to make concerted efforts to qualitatively implement the agreements reached during the talks at the highest level.

I’m on a state visit to your beautiful country upon President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh’s invitation. Today, we set the tasks facing the governments of both countries, which will lead to a strategic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Our countries really need major anchor projects, which could give a very serious impetus to the development of economic interaction, said the Kazakh leader.

Tokayev highlighted the importance of implementing joint initiatives in the fields of mining, agriculture transport and logistics, tourism and education.

On his part, Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene stated that the government of Mongolia is ready to begin practical realization of the decisions taken by the heads of state. According to him, Ulaanbaatar closely examines the experience of Kazakhstan’s development.

Earlier it was reported that the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Mongolia signed the Joint Declaration on the establishment of strategic partnership.
