Ukrainian parliament ousts Timoshenko's government

KIEV. March 3. KAZINFORM The Ukrainian parliament on Wednesday voted for dismissing the government led by Yulia Timoshenko. Two hundred and forty-three lawmakers supported the dismissal. It required 226 votes to pass the motion, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

The issue of the government's responsibility was raised by the Party of Regions led by Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich.

Timoshenko, prior to the voting, stated that all the Cabinet ministers would step down immediately, in case the parliament voted for their resignation.

"If they vote for the government's resignation, our government will step down promptly, and our team will become the opposition that very minute," Timoshenko stated, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com
