Commenting on the voting on the law on increasing minimal wages and pensions, which took place in parliament on Wednesday, she stressed that "Yanukovich and his faction gave only two votes for their own draft law." "It is obvious today that no one from the Yanukovich team was going to raise social standards. It was nothing but electoral technologies, and now the deception is becoming obvious," she stressed.

She did not mention the elections any more. The government meeting began in a routine way, as though there were no elections at all. The government discussed the spring sowing campaign and the situation in the steel-making sector. According to Timoshenko, agricultural output grew by 5 per cent as against January of 2009. "The crisis is over in the agricultural sector," she said. According to her information, positive trends are becoming evident in the steel-making sector too.

Timoshenko assigned the finance ministry to take under its control the payment of all wages and pensions; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
