Ukraine should make decision on association freely and without blackmail - French Foreign Ministry

The press service of the French Foreign Ministry said this, while answering a question from a Ukrinform correspondent on the prospects for signing the agreement during Greece's EU presidency.
"We want Ukraine to make decisions freely, without blackmail, and we want it to choose an Association Agreement with the European Union," the French Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
In early December 2013, Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras presented at the European Commission the priorities for his country's presidency of the EU in the first half of 2014. Among the priorities he noted the creation of new jobs in the EU, the deepening of integration into the EU, and the problems of migration. However, the question of Eastern Partnership and EU-Ukraine Association Agreement was not included in the list of priorities during Greece's presidency of the EU.
