Ukraine and Kazakhstan have great potential for cooperation: M. Azarov
KIEV. April 4. KAZINFORM "We have always considered the traditionally friendly ties between Ukraine and Kazakhstan as the fundamental relations between our nations," Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said on Thursday during the negotiations with his Kazakhstani colleague Serik Akhmetov in Kiev.
"Shared history and economic goals unite our two countries. Together we are searching for the answers to the challenges of the global economic crisis," M. Azarov noted.
He also emphasized that both Ukraine and Kazakhstan shape their policy, first and foremost, on the basis of the interests of the peoples. "From year to year the economic ties between Kazakhstan and Ukraine strengthen, trade turnover and contacts in the business sphere gain momentum, as well as cooperation in science, culture and education," M. Azarov stressed.
In addition, the Ukrainian Prime Minister pointed out that Kazakhstan and Ukraine share similar stance on many vital topics and that creates favorable prerequisites for close cooperation in the international arena.
M.Azarov also thinks that Ukraine and Kazakhstan have a great potential for cooperation in aviation, space, energy, transport, agriculture and other sectors.
