U.Shukeyev familiarized with process of realization of West Europe - West China project
ASTANA. October 2. KAZINFORM First Deputy Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev paid working visit to Kyzylorda region where he got acquainted with the process of realization of "West Europe - West China" project and surveyed a road section constructed by general contractor "Accord - Okan" Azeri-Turkish joint company, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan reports.
Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Dulat Kuterbekov reported on the process of realization of the project as a whole, including the progress in Kyzylorda region. The Vice Minister noted that uninterrupted supply of materials was necessary for successful and timely implementation of the project. Special attention is paid to the issue of staffing. The priority is placed on the local population. To date 15 519 people were involved in the construction in Kyzylorda region, 8561 people out of it are local residents.
Full-scale works in the region were started in March. According to the progress schedule, this year the traffic is planned to be opened at 195 km of the road section on a lower layer of asphalt concrete pavement, the press service of the Ministry reports.
