U.S. Ambassador R. Hoagland arrived in Aktau
AU. July 15. KAZINFORM /Anargul Tolegenova/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Kazakhstan Richard Hoagland has arrived in Aktau with a working visit. The Diplomat had a meeting with the region's authorities, surveyed the industrial-innovative projects of the oblast and held a press conference with the journalists.
According to R. Hoagland, his visit aims at familiarization with the developing regions of Kazakhstan.
"I was impressed with the project "Earth.Sea.Sky". I see positive dynamics in the region's development. My expectations of the visit came true", the Ambassador noted.
Within the three-day visit R. Hoagland will visit a number of enterprises, Aktau International Trade-Sea Port and will discuss ecological situation with the NGOs.
Kazinform note: The project "Earth.Sea.Sky" provides for expansion of "Aktau Seaport" Free Economic Zone, that is establishment of a centre for near-border trade, a multi-modal transport-logistics center, reconstruction of Aktau International Airport and construction of auto and railroads.
