Two terrorist accomplices allegedly killed in Indonesia
JAKARTA. October 9. KAZINFORM Two accomplices of terrorist gang led by the slain Malaysian militant Noordin M Top were allegedly killed in a fresh raid conducted by Indonesian police's anti-terror squad, Densus 88, in a house in South Jakarta, local TV reported, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
Metro TV reported that the squad killed two people in the raid in a house located in Ciputat, South Jakarta at 12.00 local time.
The killed persons were allegedly Syaifuddin Zuhri and Mohammad Syahrir, two accomplices of Noordin's terror gang who had been declared suspects by the police for their involvement in the July 17 bomb blasts in two U.S-firm-run hotels J.W. Marriott and Ritz Carlton in Jakarta, the TV reported.
The report said that the raid was marred with shooting exchanges between the police and people inside the house. Explosions were heard during the raid.
Syaifuddin Zuhri was the one tasked to recruit youths who were willing to commit suicide bombings in the gang's terror acts. Meanwhile Mohammad Syahrir was an explosive expert who crafted the bombs that exploded in the two hotels and killed 9 people, wounded53 others, Kazinform cites Xinhua.
