Two public servants arrested by Financial Police of South Kazakhstan
SHYMKENT. June 25. KAZINFORM - Two state officials have been arrested by the South Kazakhstan Financial Police. The first arrested is a chief specialist - Inspector of Land Inspectorate of South Kazakhstan region. He is suspected of taking bribes from the director of a construction company. The officer asked him for KZT 300 thousand (tenge), according to investigators, for nonjoinder of a businessman to administrative responsibility for illegal works on the Syr Darya River.
The second criminal case is by the fact of embezzlement of budget funds. Acting Director of the Center for Employment of Turkestan is suspected that during the period from March to June 2012, he signed the accounts payable and accrued wages in excess of persons who had arrived by the "Employment-2020" Program to more than KZT 4 million.
Note: At present both officials are under pre-trial restrictions called "arrest".
