Two killed in fire in Karaganda region
ASTANA. September 17. KAZINFORM A flat of a 5-storey house burst into the fire on Sunday in Karaganda region, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Emergencies reported.
The fire covered an area of 16 square meters. Eleven firefighters and four units of the fire service equipment put on the fire. Bodies of two men were found at the scene.
Another accident happened in Astana city. A roof of the 2-storey hotel "Bastau" went up in flames. The fire covered an area of 70 square meters. Seventeen firemen and eight units of the fire service equipment worked at the scene. No one was killed or injured.
One more incident occurred in East Kazakhstan region. A gas-air mixture clap with the following fire happened because of gas leaking from a gas-bag in the country house. The fire covered an area of 12 square meters. Neighbors evacuated a 60-year-old woman. The fire was extinguished before the arrival of the firemen.
