Two killed in blast in Uralsk
Two people died as a result of gas-air mixture explosion in RIZYK café in Uralsk, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Over 110 employees of the West Kazakhstan regional emergencies department, police, local executive bodies and emergency care unit arrived at the accident site to carry out search and rescue operation.
As the emergencies authorities informed, six people have been pulled out from the rubble. Five of them were rushed to a hospital. One person refused from hospitalization. Besides, bodies of two people were found on the scene. They are being identified. It is supposed, that more people can still be trapped under the rubble. The rescue operation is underway.
A hotline was launched at the local emergencies department.
The fire which broke out immediately after the blast covered the area of 110 square meters. It was extinguished at 02:40 am.
